There are reports alleging a number of kidnappings and killings in some villages in Kachia Local Government Area (LGA), Kaduna State. An eyewitness and concerned citizen of the area, Amos Musa Gidan Mana shared the disturbing news on a social media handle.
He stated that kidnappers are operating in the area unchallenged;
“Kidnappers are currently having a field day operation in Kachia Local Government Area. Unfortunately no one is reporting it even in our own SOKAPU platform.
“Last week Allo, a village close to Marataba Walijo was attacked 2 people killed 11 kidnapped, 3 were later freed, 8 are still with the kidnappers.
“Early hours of Sunday 7 July Marataba Walijo was attacked, 21 people kidnapped.
” Attempt was made on same Marataba Walijo last night but was repelled they diverted to Dagwarga where they killed 2 people. Number of people kidnapped not certain yet.
“Pray and spread this to let the people in Authority know what we are passing through please.” he concluded.
Kachia LGA is one of the local government areas in southern kaduna that has experienced a number of kidnappings and killings that are not always reported in the mainstream media.
Mararaba Walijo, a semi urban settlement, and its surrounding villages have had a number of kidnappings and killings that are mostly not reported. It is about 15 minutes drive from Kachia town the headquarter of the local government.
